(CBS/What's Trending) - The announcement that you've been waiting for is here: Facebook has integrated Skype video chatting into their system. It's actually quite easy to use if you're used to Facebook Chat. Now, when you message a friend on Facebook, you have the option to talk to them using your computer camera. After installing an app with the click of a button, you're ready to go. Try it out for yourself here.
Although the Google+ Hangout feature is getting a lot of good press, partnering with Skype is Facebook's big touché move. You can also pull info from your News Feed, comment and Likewithin the Facebook/Skype interface. You can even add multiple people into your chat, and it takes into account your browser size. The service will be available in 70 different languages for all of Facebook's 750 million users.
Facebook video chat is the next step in the evolution of the social network. Now, if only they could finally develop a iPad Facebook app...
