Clearly, there’s only one sensible place to shoot a video for a song called “California” — Hawaii, of course! At least, that’s the logic Wiz Khalifa used in his latest visual for “California,” from his forthcoming Taylor Allerdice mixtape. The sun-dreched vid has plenty of sand, surf, and palm trees, which makes it look almost Californian, but as the Polynesian dancers and Wiz’s lei confirm, the “Sleazy” rapper and his crew are actually in the Aloha State, not the Golden one. And if you think relaxing beachside makes the High School star’s trademark love of herb negligible, think again. The whole song is, surprise surprise, an ode to the high life. Watch below.
